As a junior Dorman was 142 of 256 passing for 2,258 yards, 27 touchdowns and two interceptions. He also carried the ball 165 times for 891 yards and 17 touchdowns.

He earned offensive MVP for his district and Dallas-Fort Worth all-area first team honors as a junior.
