Can Houston go four for four in putting teams in the state championship games? We find out this week who advances and if Lamar Consoldiated is the first Houston team in the state championship game this year.

DAYTON VS WALLER PREDICTION: Dayton has been in the zone and have destroyed everyone since their fourth game of the season. They have done this with great team defense and being able to be succesfull passing and running the ball on offense. But what do you make of Waller, they were okay during the regular season but they have had a big post-season also? They have the best defensive line still in the playoffs and to be honest, their coaching staff has probably been the best staff in the playoffs. Their play calling on offense and defense was nearly flawless against Yates. I think Dayton takes this game because they are on such a huge roll right now that they will be tough to slow down. This game will be decided early though, if Waller keeps the first quarter within one touchdown then they have a shot, but if Dayton gets ahead early by more than one touchdown they will be near impossible to catch. When a team has this much momentum you can not give them anything early on to get them going again. Dayton 35, Waller 21

Lamar Consolidated vs New Braunfels- LC has not faced any easy playoff road and New Braunfels is no slouch either. Basic football, you want to beat LC? Then stop Jacquizz Rodgers if you can. Teams have been throwing seven in the box all year long and have slowed him down but he is showing each week why he is one of the best the state has ever seen. Darrell Smallwood will keep NB off balnace with some throws now and then but over 35% of his passes went to Rodgers anyways. Did we tell you that you have to stop Rodgers to beat Lamar Consolidated? Travis Riedel is the big receiving threat and caught 15 passes for 25 yards a pop during the regular season. I think LC continues to move on and plays in the big game, LC 35, New Braunfels 28

Clements vs Katy- David vs Goliath, the King of the Hill vs the upstarts. Yes this game has a lot of different story lines you could use. Katy has been a power for a long time in the state and are truly one of the best programs around. Meanwhile Clements has run a perfect season with some breath taking heroics, some incredible comebacks and some of the best play in town. Coach Hulme was just named the Touchdown Clubs Coach of the Year, hard to disagree there. Still, this is not an easy matchup and you don't beat Katy, Katy beats Katy, especially this year. Aundre Dean is a run away freight train on offense, the more carries he gets the better he is, while Bo Mitchell is starting to show his passing ability and the colleges are noticing. With the game on the line watch the Derek Carr to Walker Dille show, Dille is hands down the best tight end in the area averaging 25 yards a reception. Matt Heitzer on defense could very well be the defensive MVP of the Area. Hard to go against Katy in this one, how long can Clements play come from behind football? Those will be answered. Katy 28, Clements 14

Hightower vs North Shore- Hard to see Hightower hanging in this one. Many coaches, many experts and many fans think this is the best North Shore team since at least their Championship season. one coach even said that it might be their best team ever. Hightower has had a good season and their win over Cy Ridge was one of the top moments of the year. North Shore's defense has been vicious all season long while McGinty and crew have played some great offense. Hightower will have to use some of that game winning majic from last week to win this one. North Shore 35, Hightower 14
