| 15-5A District Insider Week 9 | |||||||||||||||
| This is one crazy district but there are a few things we already know. Cy Creek will be the district champs in they can beat a winless Jersey Village team. That means Cy Creek and Cy Ridge will both go to the D-2 bracket for the postseason, wow. Cy Woods controls their own destiny as do Cy Springs and Langham Creek both. Cy Falls has a shot at it too, so every game from here on it should be very exciting to watch. | |||||||||||||||

| Cy Creek (5-1, 5-0) vs Jersey Village (0-7, 0-5)- Well what else can I say about this matchup besides it is the undefeated and clearly the top team in this district vs a winless team that next weekend will be battling with Cy Fair most likely for the right to be 1-9. (As if that is much better than 0-10, well actually it is). The test for the Cougars will be to see if Coach McCaig can get his fun bunch to be fired up for a non-thriller and not to be looking ahead to next week where they can potentially become and undefeated district champion. I'm sure he is hoping that the backups and maybe even third stringers get plenty of PT in this one while Jersey Village will play younger kids for the future. | |||||||||||||||
| Cy Ridge (5-2, 4-1) vs Cy Springs (4-3, 3-2)- This is a key game for both teams because Cy Ridge wants to solidify that second place finish in the district and Cy Springs just wants to be in the playoffs. The Rams are playing just flawless offensive football right now and Cy Springs is hitting the gas pedal at just the right time as well. Dont expect much defense in this one and for the Pridgeon Stadium scoreboard to be lit up as usual in this crazy district. | |||||||||||||||
| Cy Falls (2-5, 2-3) vs Cy Fair (0-7, 0-5)- Well Cy Fair is just trying to avoid being winless overall but Cy Falls has a much bigger prize they are going after: the postseason. Although Cy Falls in sitting currently in sixth place in this district and two spots out of the playoffs, they have a possible road to getting there and it starts by beating Cy Fair so expect Kolby Gray and company to do whatever it takes to get this one done. | |||||||||||||||
| Cy Woods (4-2, 3-2) vs Langham Creek (3-4, 3-2)- This game is absolutely huge as both teams are tied in district play and whoever wins this game should be a lock for post season play. And getting that third spot is a real battle because whoever ends up fourth in district will end up facing Round Rock Stony Point in the first round, which is not a team you want to face up against. | |||||||||||||||

Mitchell Juergens WR LC | Nobody knew what this district would show at the end of the season but we all know that Cy Creek is now the best team in this district without a doubt. Cy Ridge has shown what they can do when they are on track offensively and what a nice showing for first year program Cy Woods as they try to advance to the playoffs. | ||||||||||||||
| Last Week in Review: Cy Creek had to battle back from Cy Falls and proved they are unstoppable on offense. Cy Woods beat up on a weak Cy Fair team, but they are improving. Cy Ridge absolutely dominated a winless Jersey Village team. Cy Springs won a thriller against Langham Creek by 2. | |||||||||||||||
| Looking Ahead: Only Cy Creek and Cy Ridge has secured playoff berths and now there five other teams battling it out for those final two spots. There will be a solid football team or two that will be left out at the end of the regular season unfortunately. | |||||||||||||||
