16-5A District Insider Week 8 |

This is without a doubt the absolute best weekend in this district!!! Both
the Klein Forest vs Klein Oak game and Westfield vs Klein game will
determine how the playoff seeds are set!! 15-5A is basically already set and
after this weekend we should get a good feel for how this district will play
out. The four teams are pretty much set unless Spring can win out and
undercut one of these four teams. Klein Oak puts their unbeaten record on
the line on Fox Sports Thursday night vs a very hungry Klein Forest team
that has had alot of recent success vs the Panthers. Klein is not happy
after getting handled by the Golden Eagles last weekend and will try to
exact revenge from last year as well vs the perfect district record of the
Westfield Mustangs. Spring will try to keep their dreams alive by playing
Klein Collins. Tomball has a bye week. |

Klein Oak (7-0, 3-0) vs Klein Forest (6-1, 2-1)- This game is for all the
marbles because most likely the loser will play the Lufkin Panthers in the
first round of the playoffs. I don’t care how good you that is not a team
you want to see in Round 1. I see the overall team speed on defense for
Klein Forest will be a major problem for letting T-Rob and Hales to the
outside. They will have to at least try to go outside because not many yards
are gained up the middle against the Golden Eagles, just ask their opponent
last week, the Klein Bearkats. The Forest offense does need to step up and
start scoring though at a better clip than they are. That will fall on the
shoulders of SR QB Ford Lakin as theyre passing game needs to get better
before the playoffs regardless. Klein Forest by 3. |

Westfield (5-2, 3-0) @ Klein (6-2, 3-1)- Well the same goes for this game as
the one above. The winner of this game will have a huge advantage in winning
the top spot in DI. Westfield pounds the ball right down the middle with
their bruising offensive line and running back. Well, the exact same goes
for the Klein Bearkats! This game might be over in a record time! Get ready
to see a giant cloud of dust! However if you are old school and enjoy
defense definately make it out to see this great game!! Westfield by 4. |

Spring (4-3, 1-2) vs Klein Collins (1-7, 0-4)- Klein Collins has had a lot
of tough games this season and they are just physcially beat from going
through this gauntlet of a district. Spring has shown very good signs of
offense but the defense needs to shore up and it just might with a key
addition coming back this week. Spring by 12. |
