That leaves them facing a team that is rejuvinated with RB Sam McGuffie back to his old tricks. On the other side Cy Ridge looks to continue their storybook season as they take on a FB Hightower team that showed they can get completely shut down offensively but still had the guts to pull out a tight win last week vs Humble. | Cy Ridge (11-1) vs FB Hightower (9-3)- QB Russell Shepard is showing why he is being recruited so heavily along with RB Hasaan Lipscomb. The Rams almost had a slip up and let Eisenhower tie the game up at the end of regulation and should bounce back with a strong game here. The Hurricanes and their HC Gene Johnson know what it takes as they had some post season fun last year till they got stopped by another Cy Fair ISD school, the Cy Fair Bobcats. The Rams should have enough in this one though. Cy Ridge by 8. | |||||||||||
| North Shore (12-0) vs Cy Fair (8-4)- Looking at records and the fact that North Shore has gotten by Pearland it would seem they are destined for a regional final appearance. But never count out the Cy Fair Bobcats when RB Sam McGuffie is in the lineup and healthy. This kid puts up ridiculous numbers against everybody but he will face his toughest defensive opponent since last years loss to Pearland in the postseason. QB McGinty is really on a hot streak right now and if the defense can contain McGuffie this should be a Mustang win. North Shore by 10. | |||||||||||

However, FB Hightower has been playing excellent ball of late and never underestimate the power of Sam McGuffie to light up the scoreboard. | The award has to go to Cy Ridge RB Hasan Lipscomb who had 24 carries for 208 yards and 3 TD. Second place is awarded to his teammate QB Russell Shepard who rushed 29 times for 194 yards and 2 TD. Honorable mentions go to Cy Fair RB Sam McGuffie who had 202 yards and 1 TD and Pearland RB Kasey Carrier who rushed 18 times for 109 yards and 2 TD vs North Shore. Two passers stood out as Eisenhower QB Kenneth Guiton threw for 186 yards and 3 TD and North Shore QB Jeremiah McGinty was 7-15 for 165 yards and 2 TD. | ||||||||||
