4A/Small School Houston Ranks

TPI ranks 4A and small schools in Greater Houston. Angleton still leads the 4A ranks as PN-G remains the only unbeaten 4A challenger. Sealy and Newton lead the smaller school ranks, but No. 3 Giddings defeated No. 4 La Grange in a key district battle.

4A Greater Houston Rankings for Oct. 26, 2009:

1. Angleton (8-0) beat Texas City 35-20
2. Port Neches-Grove (8-0) beat Lumberton 39-12
3. Brenham (7-1) beat Caney Creek 34-0
4. Beaumont Central (7-1) beat Ozen 50-23
5. Yates (7-1) beat Sharpstown 21-13
6. Friendswood (5-3) beat Manvel 30-27 OT
7. El Campo (6-1) bye
8. Santa Fe (6-2) lost to La Marque 28-35
9. Dayton (6-2) beat Galena Park 56-26
10. Dawson (6-2) beat Brazosport 20-14
On the verge: Montgomery (6-2), Crosby (6-2), Foster (6-3), Vidor (6-2), Terry (5-2)


Small School Greater Houston Rankings for Oct. 26, 2009:

1. Sealy (8-0) beat Smithville 49-28
2. Newton (8-0) beat Hemphill 56-17
3. Giddings (7-1) beat No. 3 La Grange 36-32
4. La Grange (7-1) lost to No. 4 Giddings 32-36
5. Navasota (7-1) beat Taylor 41-0
6. West Orange-Stark (6-2) beat Bridge City 29-15
7. Bellville (5-3) beat Columbus 34-3
8. Rice Consolidated (7-1) beat Schulenburg 20-9
