Tied at 19-19 early in the second half, the Stony Point Tigers took its first lead 26-25 on a successful extra-point attempt. Cy-Fair controlled the tempo of the game leading most of the way, but struggled on PATs in the championship. The Bobcats led 19-13 at the half before the Tigers raised their game.
Tournament MVP Stephen Williams led the Tigers with touchdowns catches on long passes and fades. Cy-Fair landed two players on the all-tournament team, running back Tevin Champagne and wideout Christian Cook.
Cy-Fair advanced to the title game with a 38-19 win over Coppell and a 45-40 battle royale over Arlington Lamar. Stony Point downed DeSoto 39-38 in its semifinal game after beating Jersey Village 33-20.
In the consolation bracket, Houston Stratford outran Pearland 52-27 with Spartan receiver Brett Benninger catching five touchdowns.
