3A/2A Bi-District Preview

West Orange Stark vs. Coldspring

Saturday, Nov. 15th 6pm, Deer Park

WO-S comes into the Playoffs undefeated once again with another District Championship. The Mustangs have allowed very few points this year and have scored more points since their 2000 season. QB Ortavious Hypolite along with RB Quintavious Garrett will lead the Mustangs. Coldspring is as Athletic as ever and actually played WOS close for one half last season in the Bi-District round. RB James Scott is loaded with speed, The Trojans Defense is quick and athletic as well. WO-S will be to much especially in the 2nd half.

WO-S 35 Coldspring 10

Silsbee vs. Huffman

Friday, Nov. 14th Sam Houston State

Silsbee comes in as the 2nd place team in District 21 3A and Huffman gets in as the 3rd place team in 22 3A. Silsbee is led by QB Jeremy Johnson who has had a great season up to this point. The Tigers' Defense has been real strong as well and i look for Silsbee to advance.

Silsbee 35 Huffman 7

Hardin Jefferson vs. Cleveland

Friday, Nov. 14th7pm at Crosby

Hardin Jefferson makes the Postseason as the 3rd place team in 21 3A and Cleveland comes in as the Champs of 22 3A. HJ's strong point was their Defense this season but have a good Rb in Trey Burrell. Cleveland is led by RB Benny Wright. Cleveland has scored a ton of points this season and their Defense has allowed very few. I like Cleveland in this one.

Cleveland 42 HJ 17

Jasper vs. Tyler Chapel Hill

Sat. Nov. 15th 7:30 pm in Lufkin

Jasper comes in as the 3rd place team from 18 3A. The Dogs are lead by QB Dominique Bailey (who has recently been moved to WR. Chapel Hill has had a great season as well led by RB RB Mathew Tucker, who has had a banner season. If Jasper wins this game they will have to stop the Running game and avoid turnovers. I like Chapel Hill in this one.

Chapel Hill 28 Jasper 20

Carthage vs. Tatum

Thur. Nov. 13th in Carthage

Carthage wins the toss for home and home for this game and i look for Carthage to roll. The Bulldogs have played really well these last 4 weeks or so and don't look for them to be slow down this week. Tatum gets in as the 3rd place team. The Eagles have had a down season somewhat after moving back up to 2A.

Carthage 38 Tatum 14

2A Bi-District Games

Kirbyville vs. Corrigan Camden

What a first round game this will be. Kirbyville remains unbeaten and still my favorite to win the D1 State Title. Corrigan Camden is very strong as well winning their District. I'm going with Kirbyville in this one but closer than people may think.

Kirbyville 35 CC 26

New Waverly vs. San Augustine

Another game i would love to see. New Waverly caught my eye when they defeated 3A Celina in 7 on 7 this Summer and look for the Bulldogs to make some noise in D2. San Augustine creeps in as the 3rd place team from 22 2A. The Wolves are led by RB Fred Mosby and have a very Athletic defense. I'm taking NW in this one though.

New Waverly 28 san Augustine 14

Newton vs. Buffalo

Fri. Nov. 14th 7:30 in Lufkin

Newton fell to Kirbyville in week 10 last week and will enter the playoffs as the number 2 team. Buffalo comes in at 3-2 with loses to New Waverly and Corrigan Camden. Newton will be to much in this one.

Newton 40 Buffalo 13
