5A/4A Bi-District Preview

Beaumont West Brook vs. Pasadena Memorial

Saturday, Nov. 15th 1pm, Baytown Stallworth Stadium

West Brook comes in at (6-1) and (4-1) on the season, Pasadena Memorial comes in at (4-5) and (3-4) in District. The Bruins are led by Christine Michael and QB Christian Louis. The Bruins are coming off a loss to #2 State raned North Shore last week. The Bruins were able to hang in there for a while and actually played well most of the game. The Mavericks are lead by RB Bo Snelson, the Mavericks are coming off a loss to Deer Park. West Brook will be to much for Memorial in this game especially at the key positions.

West Brook 37 Pasadena Memorial 14

Port Arthur Memorial vs. LaPorte

Friday, Nov. 14th Baytown Stallworth Stadium 7pm

Port Arthur Memorial manages to get into the playoffs with a 2-3 Record in District. They had a huge win over Baytown Lee Friday to get in. The Titans are led by QB Jareal Alexander and have been playing much better on Defense. LaPorte enters the game with a 5-2 District record and are led by several good players. WR Jimmy Randle has played well this season and don't look for the Bulldogs to slow down this week.

4A Bi-District Playoff Preview

Dayton vs. Livingston

What else can you say about Dayton? They won the District Championship and look to be getting even stronger. They'll face Livingston who moved into District 20 4A and actually shared the title with Lumberton. Dayton is led by QB Cody Green and WR A.J. Dugat. The Lions are led by QB Dustin Harris and run the ball well. Big question is can they hang with Dayton? Right now i say no but this game could be closer than expected.

Dayton 42 Livingston 24

Lumberton vs. Crosby

Lumberton wins the District 20 4A Championship. The Raiders have not slowed down even after losing several key starters from last season. RB Jacob Hanna is lighting it up this season. The OL has done well along with the Defense. Crosby is coming off a los to King this past week and the Cougars are hoping for better success this week. The Cougars are led by RB Casey Chance. Lumberton advances.

Lumberton 28 Crosby 10

Beaumont Central vs. North Forest

Central comes in as the 3rd place team from District 20 4A. I predicted Central would be better than the disappointing season last year and they were. The Jags do have some weaknesses especially with Turnovers. They have improved on that ratio lately and that will have to continue this week. North Forest has made the postseason as i expected. Alot of speed and Athletes on this squad. RB Michael Sigers leads the Bulldogs. The key for the Dogs will be Defense. Can they stop Central's Offensive attack? This game will come down to turnovers, whoever turns it over more will fall in this game. I'm going with central in a close one.

Beaumont Central 28 North Forest 27

Nederland vs. C.E. King

What a game this will be! Both teams run the ball well but have weaknesses on Defense. Nederland lost to Lumberton in week 10 and King had a big win over Crosby. Turnovers once again may decide this game as well. Nederland WR Asa Cardenas and OL Stefan Huber will be keys to this game. I like Nederland in a close one.

Nederland 30 King 28
