Every week here at TPI we break down all the match-ups. We break down the games and tell you which players you will not want to miss. With the football season moving into the second half, we start to look at how each District is shaping up, and who is likely to stamp their play-off ticket this year.

Thursday's Game

Brazosport vs Angleton The Brazosport Exporters are coming off 49-28 loss to La Marque last week. Running back Gary Bivens continued his offensive output this week with 3 more touchdowns and is now second in the district with 708 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Exporters defensive back Bracy McCoy's 2 interceptions lead the district.
The Angleton Wildcats are coming off a disappointing loss to Dawson last week. The loss drops them back to the pack so to speak with a 2-1 district record. Running back Henry Josey is tops in the district right now with 777 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Prediction : Wildcats by 7

Friday's Games

Friendswood vs Dawson

The Friendswood Mustangs are coming off an impressive 45-19 win over Santa Fe last week. Quarterback Jacob Karam continued his impressive aerial attack on the year with 333 passing yards and 5 touchdowns bringing his yearly totals to 1146 passing yards and 13 touchdowns.
The Dawson Eagles come into this weeks important match-up off an impressive upset of then district leading Angleton. The Eagles are leading the district in offense with over 400 yards per game. Friendswood is # 2 with just under 400 yards per game, so there should be lots of scoring.

Prediction Mustangs by 10

Santa Fe vs Manvel

The Sant Fe Indians com off a 45-19 loss to Friendswood last week. The Indians are in a unique situation in which they are leading the district in team defense only giving up 235 total yards a game, but are dead last in team offense with less than 200 yards of offense a game.
The Manvel Mavericks are coming off the first win in school history over Texas City las week. Sophomore quarterback Dexter Foreman threw for 204 yards and three touchdown to lead the Mavericks to the historical win.

Texas City vs La Marque

The Texas City Stingarees come off a disappointing loss to Manvel last week. Stingaree quarterback Derrick Bernard is near the top in the district in rushing (304 yards 3TD's) as well as passing (383 yards 7 TD's). The Stingaree defense is tops in the district with 6 interceptions on the year.
The La Marque Cougars are coming off back to back wins after a slow start this year. The passing game seems to have come around as quarterback Emmanuel Williams seems to have found his groove.

Prediction : Cougars by 7
