The Beaumont Bowl series continues this weekend and West brook is one win away from retaining the City trophy. The Bruins defeated Ozen last week 50-7. This week with Central it should be a little closer but West Brook will be way to much.

Port Arthur Memorial vs. Beaumont Ozen
Another 5A vs. 4A matchup this week. Memorial fell to 4A Beaumont Central last week and Ozen fell to West Brook. This should be a good game but i'll give the edge to 5A Memorial.

Barbers Hill vs. Lumberton
This should be a dandy as both teams will be looking for their first win. BH fell just short to PN-G last week and Lumberton defeated 3A Hamshire Fannett by 14. I'll take BH by 1.

Dayton vs. Friendswood
What a game!!! Dayton had a big win over Bay City last week and Friendswood will look to begin the season at 1-0. To much AJ Dugat and Cody Green again though. Dayton by 14.

Crosby vs. PN-G
Another great Non District game. Crosby fell to Waco U last week and PN-G hung on and defeated Barbers Hill. The Indian Defense looks down this season after losing alot of SR's. Close close game. I'm taking PN-G by 2.

Vidor vs. Houston St. Thomas
Vidor is my surprise Team for 08. St. Thomas will be looking for their first win of the season and Vidor looks to go to 2-0. Vidor's Running game may be to much again this week. Vidor by 6.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville vs. WO-S
The Annual Orange Bowl will be played after all. LC-M finally decided to not cancel this week after the Hurricane threat. This game is such a rivalry but Garrett and WO-S will be to much. Garrett set a record at WOS last week with 320 yards against Nederland. Taking WOS by 28.

Livingston vs. Bellville
A good 4A/3A Matchup. Livingston was open last week and we all know Bellville has Athletes. I'll take the depth issue here and take the Lions of Livingston by 10.

Jasper vs. Kirbyville
Another better not miss game. Both teams are loaded with speed and Athletes. Jasper took a whipping from Gilmer last week and Kirbyville defeated a good Diboll team. Jasper regroups and wins by 7.

Bridge City vs. Kountze
A good 3A/2A matchup. BC looks to be much improved under 2nd year HC Chris Stump. Kountze is improving and is not just a Basketball school anymore. I like BC by 10.

Hamshire Fannett vs. Liberty
Liberty will look for their first win of the season after falling to Bridge City last week. The Longhorns were defeated by 4A Lumberton last week. HF will bounce back and take Liberty by 14.

Hardin Jefferson vs. Woodville
HJ will look to defeat a decent 2A Woodville school Saturday but the speed and depth for the Hawks will be to much for Woodville. Hj by 21

Orangefield vs. Buna
Another 2A/3A Matchup this week. Buna looks strong early and Orangefield will look to rebound after their loss to 2A East Chambers last week. Tough call here. I'll take Buna by 1.

Silsbee vs. Diboll
A game of speed here. Silsbee fell to Houston Davis last week and Diboll came up short against Kirbyville. I have to go with Diboll in this one but close. Diboll by 3.
