Finals
Baytown Lee vs. Alief Hastings
The touchdown connection between Tim Jirrells and Jarrett Havins was all too common throughout the day. This, along with Thomas Bates’ interceptions returned for a touchdown put the finishing touches on a 26-13 win over Alief Hastings. The Ganders went 5-0 on the day to earn a spot at the state tournament in College Station.
“We want to be state champs, win it all, and go all the way,” Havins said. “We came together as a team out here to get it done.”
Third place went to Fort Bend Bush with a 19-14 win over Fort Bend Dulles in the consolation game.
