Plenty of interested schools for Texas DL

Scout.com three-star defensive lineman Quinn Anthony of Rusk, Texas is waiting to make his next move with his college recruitment. He has schools in the SEC and Big 12 showing him heavy interest, but has this interest brought in an offer? TexasPrepInsider has the update.

East Texas is known for producing some of the top talent in the state and Rusk defensive lineman Quinn Anthony is one of them. After averaging more than 10 tackles a game as a junior, the three-star Scout.com defender has starting seeing some Division I interest.

But he still awaits his first offer.

“I don’t have an offer, but I have some schools that contact me,” the 6-foot-3, 253-pound Anthony said. “LSU, Alabama, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, and Texas Tech are all writing me. The only college I have visited was LSU for a junior day.”

With that said, the Tigers are at the top of Anthony’s list. Though he had already been on the LSU campus before, he said it was to go back. He has also been invited to junior days at Texas Tech, Kansas, and Miami, but wasn’t sure which ones he would try to make. 

As far as interest, he said that the most interest is coming from the Texas Tech and Oklahoma State programs. But, in regards to this, he said he should really be following up more with the correspondences.

“They (Texas Tech, Oklahoma State) have been sending me a lot of things and keep contacting me,” Anthony said. “I haven’t been keeping in touch, but I need to.”
