Terrence Robinson, aka T-Rob, was an absolute offensive
monster this season on the football field for the Klein Oak Panthers and teamed
with DeSean Hales helped his team to an amazing 9-1 record. He may only stand
5-9 175 but his game is as big as they come. During the regular season Robinson
totaled 1,672 rushing yards for an amazing 9.19 yards per carry average and 20
touchdowns. If that kind of production was not enough by itself he also hauled
in 14 passes for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns receiving. These playstation type
numbers earned him the texasprepinsider ALL-AREA overall MVP. Robinson was
surprised by the award and was very honored to receive the nod over some other
great athletes.
When asked what kind of season Robinson would have he said
that he did not expect these kind of numbers but a great season was definitely
on his radar because of the attention that fellow teammate DeSean Hales was
going to receive after his breakout season last year. “A loss in the second
round to Leander was definitely disappointing” said Robinson. He and his
teammates had hopes of making it to a state championship game this year after a
tremendous run last season. However, T-Rob has a bright future in front of him
still at the next level.
Terrence has received a lot of attention from some top
schools across the nation and now has settled in with a top 3 list that he gave
TPI. Schools that have offered Terrence are SMU, Wake Forest, Houston, TCU,
Boston College, Nebraska, and Oregon. He had his choices down to Wake Forest and
Boston College before a sudden change this weekend. Michigan came calling to the
MVP and have now officially offered him as well. Robinson will be taking a trip
next weekend to Boston College and the following weekend to Ann Arbor. Although
Terrence considers himself just an athlete, Wake Forest and Michigan want
Terrence to play a slot type receiver while Boston College is recruiting him as
a running back. T-Rob told TPI “The thing that really stuck out with my top
choices were just that they really make me feel wanted as a person. They will
sometimes talk to me without even bringing football up the entire conversation.”
That kind of respect has won Robinson over and he will be deciding soon which
team he will be helping to reach their goals next.
