Katy vs. Katy Cinco Ranch: Wow, the big FSN match up. But sorry to say this, it won’t be as big as you may expect. The Cougars will likely make it to postseason play, but they won’t beat their cross-town rivals Katy. The Tigers have top offense and defense, and will not be denied. Katy by 21.
Alief Elsik vs. Katy Mayde Creek: This game will be quite interesting because here are two teams that have a few inconsistencies. Elisk’s defense is a little off and on as is Mayde Creek’s offense. One things is for certain, Elsik can definitely put plenty of points on the board, and that may be the difference. The battle of the Rams goes to Elsik. Alief Elsik by 10.
Alief Hastings vs. Alief Taylor: Look for this game to be a ground-game frenzy. With two running quarterbacks in Taylor’s Donte Elliott and Hastings’ Jhvaughn Forde, this game should not be lacking big runs. The difference here is defense and Hastings has the edge. Alief Hastings by 12.
Katy Taylor vs. Katy Morton Ranch: In most situations, I would be quick to vote against Morton Ranch. But lately, the Mavericks are starting to come together. Taylor has been quite vulnerable defensively, and if Morton Ranch is seriously on top of things, a first win could come this week. I know I am reaching here, but Taylor will need to come out and set the tone early or Morton Ranch will capitalize. But still, I’ll take the Mustangs. Katy Taylor by 3.
