Katy vs. Alief Hastings: What more can be said about the Tigers that hasn’t already been said. RB Aundre Dean is back and looks like he is ready for another 1,500-yard+ season. Bears RB Saheed Imoru will look to move that ball against a tough Katy defense and it will be interesting to see how that turns out. Katy QB Bo Mitchell faces a good secondary so look for a good match up. But either way, the momentum is in favor of the Tigers. Katy by 21.
Alief Elsik vs. Katy Cinco Ranch: Last years’ match up between these two ended up being a track meet. This year, I don’t see that happening. Elsik still has the personnel to score at will, but the Cougars do not. But because of the Rams defense, this may be an interesting game. Look for a strong ground game out of both teams. Elsik’s defense will likely step up for this one after last week’s close game against Morton Ranch. So, I’ll take the Rams. Alief Elsik by 7.
Katy Taylor vs. Alief Taylor: The battle of Taylor schools, as I see it, will not be as cool as it may sound. K Taylor is very vulnerable defensively and A Taylor is full of team speed. I see Lions QB Donte Elliott having his way in this one and racking up plenty of yards. Alief Taylor by 14.
Katy Mayde Creek vs. Katy Morton Ranch: Morton Ranch brings plenty of fight to the game, but Mayde Creek is hungry for a win. After letting Alief Hastings slip by them last week, the Rams will come out hard and fast to make a statement. Look for Mayde Creek to put up at least 35 points in this one and RB Chris West will run wild. Mayde Creek by 21.
