Katy vs. Katy Taylor: Katy’s defense pitched another shutout last week and now the Tigers go head-to-head with Taylor. I look for Katy QB Bo Mitchell to have a big game and test the Mustang secondary quite a bit. This, along with Trent Hunter or Aundre Dean in the backfield means another ‘W’ for the Tigers. Alief Elsik vs. Katy Morton Ranch: After Elsik RB Jeremy Hills’ performance last week, expect nothing less in this match up. Morton Ranch is a team with plenty of fight, but I think the Mavericks will just be overmatched in this. Alief Elsik by 14.
Katy Cinco Ranch vs. Alief Taylor: Katy shut out Alief Taylor last week, but I see the Lions bouncing back in this one. Donte Elliott is dangerous in the shotgun and I see him making plenty of plays. On the other side, Cougar RB Jeff Oliver has proven to be a solid workhorse. This game will be decided by defense and I think it will be Taylor. Alief Taylor by 7.
Katy Mayde Creek vs. Alief Hastings: Mayde Creek inched by Katy Taylor last week and will face a tough Hastings squad. There will be some good offensive moments in this game, but I do not predict a high score. I see this game being dominated by tough defenses and the Rams have the edge. Mayde Creek by 3.
