Osborne who is 6'4 188 pounds, runs a 4.5 forty yard dash and also sports a 35 inch vertical leap was named honorable mention all 10-5A catching 16 passes for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Besides starring on the football field, Steven is also a member of the Colonels basketball and track teams. "I think my biggest strength is my good hands and my physical play. This off-season I am looking to work on my footwork and my route running," said Osborne.
The South Garland WR has received major interest from several schools including Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and TCU. Osborne also has four scholarship offers from Utah, Louisiana-Monroe, UNLV and SMU.
Osborne has spent much of the summer playing seven on seven for SGHS and is hoping to help lead the Colonels to the State Tournament at Texas A&M in mid-July. Steven says academics will play a role in where he lands, Steven also says he and his brother Courtney Osborne are a package deal and where Steven goes he'll go also.
The WR from South Garland says at this time there is no timetable on a decision and that he'll decide when he knows the time is right. The Colonels have a great senior class with lots of big names and Steven is hoping that translates into a playoff run, "I'd like to make a long playoff run this year as an outgoing senior."
South Garland WR Steven Osborne has the kind of size and speed that college recruiters love in a wide receiver.
