For the most part, Katy (TX) linebacker Jake Blomstrom enjoyed his visit last weekend to LSU. But even though there were plenty of positives, the West Houston area linebacker was hoping for a little more time.
Time with the coaches that is.
"It was a real long day. I loved the weight room, the facilities and the uniforms that I got to see," Blomstrom said on the way home. "But it was a little disappointing because there were so many kids there. I didn't really get any time with the coaches. I do like the program and love the tradition."
Despite all of that, the 6-2, 225-pound Blomstrom took away more good than bad from the trip overall. On top of that, the three-star athlete is still seeking his first offer and is confident that one will be coming in the near future.
His visit log so far has of course LSU and previously Oklahoma State. In a couple of weeks, he will head to the west coast.
"I'm going to Boise State on March 1," Blomstrom said. "Right now I don't have any offers, but I am talking with a couple of coaches. Aside from the schools I have visited, I have been talking to the coaches at Colorado (who seem quite interested)."
Last season, Blomstrom finished the year with close to 120 tackles.
