He exploded on the scene this past year and was one of the primary targets for his high school team. Now, Manvel (TX) wide receiver Kyrion Parker is participating in the O-D Bowl, which is a roster compiled with some of the nation's best.
"It's been real great so far. It's good seeing what the nation has to offer and it makes you better," Parker said. "I feel like I am doing real and overall just getting better."
While here, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Parker is getting lots of face time with a number of athletes who share something in common. Six players, all of which are on the Red team, have committed to play football at Texas A&M.
Parker is one of many wide receiver commits heading to College Station. And right now, he putting in the work to separate himself (in a positive way), even from his future teammates.
"I'm just sitting back and working to get better. I'm looking forward to National Signing Day," parker said. "It's going to be great. It's shaping up real good class. So many players bring a lot of different skills to the table. We will be real good."
Right now, Parker said he is slated to play the outside receiver spot once on campus.
"The coaches are looking for me to play on the outside, maybe on the other side of Mike Evans," Parker said.
