Obo Wants to Visit Stillwater Soon

Alief Taylor DE Ogbonnia Okoronwu

FOX Sports NEXT is in the streets this fall to bring you all the coverage from across the Midlands region. Recently, we caught up with Alief Taylor defensive tackle Ogbonnia Okoronwu from Houston, Texas. He gave us a quick recruiting update…

For this past season, expectations were high. But even though Houston (TX) Alief Taylor defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronwu and the Taylor team made a sooner-than-expected exit, he still feels like it was a success either way.

"I think the season went great. In our last game we made some mistakes," Okoronwu said. "But overall, I'm happy for the experiences."

Now that the season is over, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Okoronwu will look to make even more experiences. Back in late June, he made the decision to commit to the coaches at Oklahoma State.

And while that is still the case, Okoronwu wants to take in the sights of both schools in the Bedlam rivalry.

"I have already visited Oklahoma. It was a nice experience," Okoronwu said. "Before I sign, I wanted to see both campuses."

It looks like he will get to do that soon now that the season has ended.

"The season is over and I want to get to Oklahoma State as soon as possible," Okoronwu said. "I have been keeping in touch with the coaches each week. I want to get a visit set up."
